ITEM 1A.RISK FACTORS
The following should be read in conjunction with the risk factors set forth in the Risk Factors section of our Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2023.
We have incurred net lossesincome to date, and have an accumulated deficit and our operations may not be profitable in 2024.
We incurred a net lossincome attributable to common stockholders of approximately $5.919.5 million for the sixnine months ended JuneSeptember 30, 2024. Our accumulated deficit was approximately $8660.6 million as of JuneSeptember 30, 2024. Given that (i) we are in our operational stage and (ii) due to COVID-19 we terminated our Public Offering, we currently have no plans to acquire any additional properties, and our operations will likely not be profitable in 2024.
Our real estate investments are concentrated in senior housing properties, and we may be negatively impacted by adverse trends in the senior housing industry.
As of June 30ly 31, 2024, we owned one student housing property and four senior housing properties. On July 31, 2024, we sold the Fayetteville property for $72.25 million. The disposal of the Fayetteville property represents a strategic shift in our business as we will no longer own or operate student housing communities and no longer diversify our investments by multiple asset classes. We are subject to risks inherent in concentrating investments in real estate and, in particular, senior housing properties. Therefore, a negative impact on the economy or the senior housing industry in which our properties and businesses operate, could particularly negatively affect our operation and our ability to pay distributions to our stockholders.
