Changes in economic and trade policy, including tariffs and trade restrictions, could have a material and adverse effect on our business.
The U.S. has established free trade laws and regulationsmation set forth in that set certain duties and tariffs for qualifying imports and exis reports, subject to compliance with the applicable classification and other requirements. Changes in laws or policies governing the terms of foreign trade, and in particular increased trade restrictions, export licenses, tariffs or taxes on imports from countries where we manufacture products, such as China and Mexico, could have a material adverse effect on our business and financial results. In recent years, , you should carefully consider the U.S. and Chinese governments have imposed a series of significant incremental retaliatory tariffs and other trade restrictions to certain imported and exported products. Most notabrisk factors previously with respect to the automotive industry, the U.S. imposed tariffs on imports of certain steel, aluminum and automotive components, and China imposed retaliatory tariffs on imports of U.S. vehicles and certain automotive components and trade restrictions on other materials to be exported to the U.S. Further, the U.S. administration recently has proposed and begun to enact additional or enhanced tariffdisclosed in Part 1, Item 1A Risk Factors in various jurisdictions relevant to our business. In April 2025, the U.S. government announced additional tariffs on various goods imported to the U.S. and other countries announced reciprocal tariffs on goods imported to such countries, including goods used by or manufactured by us. Some of these additional tariffs have been implemented and others have been conditionally paused, and it is reasonably possible that new or additional tariffs will be periodically announced given the current global trade environment.
